Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this bar set compatible with all BMW i5 electric versions manufactured from 2023?
A: Yes. The kit is dedicated to BMW i5 electric models manufactured from 07/2023 onwards, equipped with a roof featuring factory-provided Fixed Points Roof.
Q: What does Fixed Points Roof mean?
A: A Fixed Points Roof has mounting locations provided from the factory, hidden under covers or seals. The bars mount exclusively at these points without drilling or modifying the vehicle body.
Q: Can I mount this set on a BMW 5 Series G60 with longitudinal bars?
A: No. This system is designed exclusively for vehicles with a Fixed Points Roof and uses the dedicated N21278 kit. For other roof configurations, a different mounting kit is required.
Q: Are the bars suitable for transporting a roof box on vacation?
A: Yes. The Silenzio CX aerodynamic profile provides a stable base for mounting a roof box, making it ideal for transporting luggage on holidays or long trips.
Q: Does the aerodynamic profile affect the range of an electric car?
A: Any accessory mounted on the roof can influence energy consumption, but the wing-type aerodynamic profile of the Silenzio CX bars is designed to reduce drag and minimize the impact on range compared to classic bars.
