How does OptiTag work?

OptiTag utilizes Apple's extensive network of connected devices with the "Find My" service to locate your object anywhere in the world. Activate the built-in speaker of your OptiTag or ask Siri for assistance to track it down. If you're looking for your keys and can't find them, OptiTag has the solution. Access the "Items" section of the "Find My" app and make the built-in speaker in the OptiTag ring. Or ask Siri: "Hey Siri, find my house keys." If they're nearby, just follow the sound to find them.

Lost Mode

If the audio option isn't enough, you can activate "Lost Mode". This way, you'll receive a notification as soon as your OptiTag is detected by another device on the network. Through a simple guided procedure, you can also associate a phone number with your OptiTag, allowing whoever finds it to easily contact you. By following these steps, anyone who finds the OptiTag can bring it close to their device equipped with an NFC module and display a message containing your phone number. To activate this mode, open the "Find My" application, access the items section, and select the Lost Tag. Among the available options, you'll find Lost Mode, which activates the procedure described above. OptiTag ensures maximum security and privacy: communications occur anonymously and encrypted, protecting your data and your location.

OptiTag is compatible with a wide range of Apple devices, including iPhone SE, iPhone 6s and later models, seventh-generation iPod touch with iOS 14.5 or later, as well as iPad Pro, fifth-generation iPad and later models, iPad Air 2 and later models, iPad mini 4 and later models with iPadOS 14.5 or later. 1 Quick instructions

1 Turn on the device: Extract insulation paper, the device will beep and

turn on.

2 Open the APP that comes with the Apple mobile phone system: Find my;

3 Choose： Items;

4 Choose： Add New Item;

5 Choose： Other Supported Item;

6 During the Searching Items process, a device with the word Opti Tag-91816 will appear；

7 Click on the device found in the APP and name it。

8 After naming, you can use device functions: A. Ring the device, click Play Sound, and the device will emit music .B. Findmy network helps to find: When the device leaves the Bluetooth distance, it cannot be connected in the APP. You can choose Lost Mode, Enable. Enter the contact mobile phone number, etc. If an iPhone is near the lost device, the owner’s Find My App can receive notifications and the latest location.

9 Delete device: To delete the device in the APP, select Remove item.

10 After removing the device, the device will not shut down and is pairing. The device will leave the pairing state if there is no re-pairing within 10 minutes. If you need to pair the device, you OPTITAG Art. 91816 need to reload the battery 5 times, the device will play a sound for factory data reset mode. At this time, the device enters the pairing mode and can be paired with the Find My APP again.

2 How is my privacy protected?

Only you can see where your item is. Your location data and history are never stored on the item itself. Devices that relay the location of your item also stay anonymous, and that location data is encrypted every step of the way. So not even Apple knows the location of your device or the identity of the device that helps find it.

3 How to replace the battery:

1) Loosen the screw and open the battery cover

2) Replace the battery with a new one. (Positive pole upward).

3) Put the new battery, will make a sound, try to put it 5 times, and then there will be a special sound for factory data reset.

4) Fasten the shell with the screw and then connect the device again

4 What is the Find My network? And how does it work?

The Apple Find My network provides an easy, secure way to locate compatible personal items on a map using the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, or the Find Items app on your Apple Watch.
